What are cookies?
Cookies are small, simple text files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive when you visit a web page. These Cookies can help optimize your website visit. For example, they remember your preferences in order to show you only information that is of interest to you. Another benefit is that you do not have to sign in or enter the same information every time you visit a particular website.
Why do we inform you about the use of cookies?
On Tuesday, June 5, 2012, the amended Telecommunications Act went into effect in the Netherlands. Among other things, this means that certain cookies may only be placed with the explicit consent of the Internet user. This is why we are letting you know that our website uses cookies and what the reason for this is.
Google Analytics
Cookies can also be used to track visitor statistics. We use Google Analytics to gain insight into visitor behavior on our website. This data gives us insight into the surfing and visiting behavior of our visitors and, where possible, we can optimize our website for you. The information Google collects is anonymized as much as possible. Your IP address is not included.
Accept or decline cookies
You can decide whether to accept or reject cookies. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default, but you can usually adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies. Per browser and for each computer you have to set this again. Explanations on how to change the settings can be found in the “help function” of your browser:
- Google Chrome (onze persoonlijke favoriet)
- Internet explorer
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
Please note: Some features and services, on our and other websites, may not function correctly if cookies are disabled in your browser.
