Adorable News: Piglets at the Petting Zoo

After a long wait, the moment finally arrived: on Monday, September 29, our lovely sow Moe gave birth to six little piglets. We are incredibly proud of her! The piglets are doing very well and can be seen snuggled up together in their warm pen. It’s a wonderful sight to watch them drink, snuffle, and take their very first steps in the world.

Kune Kune Piglets: Friendly and Unique

Our piglets are Kune Kune pigs, a breed originally from New Zealand. They are known for their friendly and gentle temperament. Kune Kune pigs are curious, sociable, and often display very affectionate behavior. This makes them not only a joy to watch but also perfect for a petting zoo. They love being around people and enjoy the attention — though we always ask visitors to approach them calmly and respectfully.

The First Days of the Piglets

During the first few days after birth, the piglets stay close to their mother. They sleep a lot and drink frequently to grow stronger. Thanks to Moe’s excellent care, the piglets are thriving and growing a little more each day. For visitors, this is a special opportunity to witness the early stages of their lives up close.

Piglets at the Petting Zoo: Now on View

Since this week, the piglets are exploring the outdoors and can now be admired at our petting zoo. We kindly ask visitors to watch them from a distance, so Moe and her little ones continue to feel safe. The piglets are playful and curious, and they immediately capture the hearts of both children and adults.

A visit to our petting zoo is therefore extra fun and educational. Children can experience firsthand how piglets grow up and learn about the care they receive. It’s a wonderful way to connect with farm life and develop respect for animals.
